Safe & Sacred

You’re pregnant. You’re hoping for a natural birth.
You’re hoping for a magically natural birth.
The crazy part of you is curious about homebirth.

But, is homebirth actually safe?

Let’s take an honest,
in-depth look at the evidence.

Homebirth—Safe & Sacred is an exploration of the many misconceptions
surrounding the safety of both
American homebirth and American hospital birth.

Join us for an examination of our national mortality and morbidity rates
and how they appear to relate to the philosophy and policies
of our current medical system.
Evaluate the training and quality of care midwives are able to provide their clients.
Then form an educated decision for yourself.

Homebirth provides families a unique
opportunity to forge
deep and lasting emotional ties.

Once removed from the constraints of hospitals,
birth may be what it’s meant to be—an irreplaceable family event.
Mothers relax into all that’s familiar and do what they’re made to do.
Fathers and siblings joyfully participate.
Babies take the first of many breaths
within the hands and hearts of those who love them most.
